In these years Jaimes Sánchez experiences the approach to a kind of imagery of modern life that surely owed much to his appointment in 1964 as director of the Institute of Design of the Neumann Foundation, and that put him in contact with new generations of artists, techniques Of serial reproduction and a spirit of renewal of the teaching of the art that influenced remarkably in its work.

When the painter Humberto Jaimes Sánchez is asked a profound question, of dense and serious content, he laughs, smiles, does not respond, and even covers his face with  hands of tireless painter. Through the openings that slip between the fingers that cover his face, his eyes are sparkling, inquisitive, dreamy and alert at the same time, and there is nothing less to think of a forest gnome that hides his magical and fine gift behind a branch.
